Derbyshire's Jack Reynolds, 107, gives heartwarming piece of advice on how to cope with the coronavirus crisis

Jack, who turns 108 on April 6, said: “Keep smiling.”

The great-grandfather, of Hollingwood, added: “I have survived two world wars and will survive this – so you can do this too.”
Jack’s daughter Jayne Goodwin said her dad remains optimistic after a tough few months.

Hide Ad“Dad’s been through a rough time since December 28,” she told the Derbyshire Times.
“He fractured his pelvis and was in hospital several weeks.
“He contracted pneumonia and the doctors and we as a family thought this was the end.
“We decided to bring him home and he has improved greatly in spirit.
“Although he is on end of life care, he is still smiling.”
Jack – who worked at Staveley Works for 40 years before retiring in 1975 – has several Guinness World Records under his belt.
