PICCALILLI made from a family recipe has helped a pub in Heage raise £200 for charity.
Granny Mo’s Piccalilli has become a much sought after delicacy at the Black Boy pub where it is sold.
It is made by Geoff Cowburn and his wife Janet. Geoff is the great grandson of Granny Mo, who was well known for making delicious preserves.
Granny Mo was called Elizabeth, but became known by her less formal title after she married Moses Cowburn.
Geoff and Janet also make jams in aid of Action Medical Research and, thanks to the recipe being passed through the generations, have been making the piccalilli too.
It is then sold by Dave Gunston and Angie Robinson, who run the Black Boy.
