ThE star of this week’s Rescue Me campaign is a furry pet that all the family will love.
Pigwig is one of three adult male guinea pigs which were found in a cardboard box at Markeaton Park.
They had been dumped there by a member of the public and all had long claws due to neglect.
But after being taken in at the Derby RSPCA Centre on Abbey Street in the city, the furry males are back to their best following a pedicure and a shampoo.
The guineas pigs are all very friendly, love being fussed and are ideal with children.
If you think you could give Pigwig or his friends a home, call the centre on 01332 344620.
