A Belper pub is promising a second helping of festive cheer to one deserving family, by giving them a chance to celebrate the Christmas they missed – for free.
Fayre & Square family pub restaurant, the Mill House, on Derby Road, Milford is calling on the community to nominate worthy families whose Christmas was more of a party pooper than party popper.
The winner, as chosen by Fayre & Square’s very own Fayrie Godmother, will receive £1,000 cash as well as a family meal at the pub.
To nominate yourself or someone you know, simply get in touch via Facebook or the website at www.fayre-square.com or www.facebook.com/FayreandSquare. But be quick, the competition closes on Friday, January 10, 2014.
Tracey Coggle, manager at the Mill House, said: “Christmas Day should always be memorable, but only for the right reasons. That’s why we have, once again, enlisted the help of our generous Fayrie Godmother to hand this second chance on a plate to one family.
“If you or someone you know have a relative that was serving in the forces, you were working the Christmas shift yourself, or the festivities just failed to deliver, tell us why you (or they) are the most worthy family.” and we could be giving back the Christmas you and your relatives missed.”
