Rotary club celebrate 91-year milestone

The Rotary Club Ripley celebrated its 91st birthday at Santo's Higham Farm by holding a banquet and cabaret evening. The evening began with the Rotary

The Rotary Club Ripley celebrated its 91st birthday at Santo’s Higham Farm by holding a banquet and cabaret evening.

The evening began with the rotary grace said by past president Alan Kenny. After a delightful four-course meal the loyal toast was proposed by president Elaine Richardson.

The roll call of visiting clubs and guests was read by toastmaster Owen Briggs. The toast to rotary international was proposed by president elect Derek Oldroyd,

Response and a toast to the Rotary Club of Ripley was given by district governor Roger Summers. A response was also given by president Elaine Richardson.

A toast to visitors and guests was proposed by vice president Marie Adams and the final toast rotary and peace the world over was proposed by president Elaine.

Dancing and entertainment was provided by Newton Park.
