A NEW pedestrian crossing in Milford which will help children at a nearby primary school is up and running.
Derbyshire County Council has installed the puffin crossing on the A6 Derby Road, near to the Strutts Arms pub.
It will provide a safe crossing point for youngsters who go to Milford Primary School on nearby Chevin Road.
A spokeswoman for the school said: “It means the children can use the sports fields across the road. It also helps with getting children to the school safely.”
Milford and Makeney Action Group has backed the fight for a crossing there.
