Safety appeal after fire at Duffield home

Firefighters were called to a house in Duffield after a neighbour spotted signs that a blaze had broken out.

The alarm was raised at 7.50am on Sunday, June 8, at a terraced house on Tamworth Terrace.

Fire crews from Duffield and Belper attended, but were only required to inspect and ventilate the property after the fire had gone out prior to their arrival.

The house was not occupied at the time.

Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service leafleted nearby homes with safety advice following the fire.
