THE smell of bacon butties helped a Macmillan coffee morning in Belper raise £439.
As part of the charity’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning event, a fundraiser was held at Manor Farm, on New Breck Road.
Organiser Julie Cooper said: “It went very well. We had between 30 and 40 people come along.
“I would like to thank everyone who supported us. The people of Belper have been absolutely fantastic.
“It has been a success and a credit to Belper.
“And the help we got from the shops in Belper was really appreciated.”
As well as bacon butties, Julie and other volunteers served up home-made cakes and jams.
