PUPILS at a Matlock primary school took to the stage for their seasonally-themed performance.
The hard-working year one youngsters at All Saints’ Infants School on Dimple Road spent four weeks preparing to tread the boards, and put on a number of packed-out shows for fellow pupils and parents.
Called Rise and Shine, the 45-minute play involved all 56 pupils from the year group.
The play is a popular one chosen by primary school teachers across the country to allow children to celebrate the start of the springtime with the theme of growing flowers, awakening hedgehogs and bouncing lambs.
Teacher Lynn Beeson said: “It’s set on a farm and it’s a out the children getting ready for Easter.
“A lot of it is about celebrating spring and new life really. We have been working on it for four weeks and it was a real success.”
