A NEW BBC2 drama which tells how the Paralympic Games was born will feature two sisters who live in Heage.
Drama Students Ella Bennett, aged nine, and sister Lucy, aged, 14, have been travelling to Bristol to play Rob Brydon’s daughters on the programme called The Best of Men.
It is the latest in a string of starring roles for the pair, who have previously appeared in programmes such as Casualty, Doctors, Larkrise to Candleford, Come Fly with Me, Jane Eyre, Prisoners Wives and The Duchess.
They have both honed their acting skills at Ripley Academy.
Principal, Felicity Cutting, said: “We were really pleased to work on this programme.
“It has such high profile actors in it.
“It is also great for the students to put the skills that they are learning in our classes into practice.”
