Teen injured after being held at knife-point in town

Police are appealing for witnesses after a teenager was held at knife-point in Chesterfield.

An 18-year-old man was walking along a footpath leading from Wheatbridge Road to St Augustine’s Road carrying a skateboard when he was stopped by a man.

The man took a knife from his pocket which he held up to the victim’s face.

The victim hit the man with his skateboard before running to a family member’s nearby address. The victim suffered a small cut to his face.

The incident, which took place at around 3.50pm on Tuesday, January 21, was reported to police several hours later.

The offender is described as about 18-years-old, 5ft 9ins tall, of average build and wearing jeans, a hooded top with the hood covering his face.
