WHEN Kirsty Paul had to pick her bridesmaids she could not choose between her 10 best friends — so she asked them all!
Her fiancé Sam Beresford was also supported by 10 groomsmen, making the largest bridal party ever seen at the Shottle Hall wedding venue in Belper.
The couple, both 25, tied the knot at the White Lane venue, and before Kirsty walked down the aisle her 10 bridesmaids went in front of her.
They ranged in age from 12 to 26 and all wore identical purple dresses.
Kirsty, of Heanor, said: “I couldn’t possibly pick between my girls, it was so important for me that they were all part of my day and I couldn’t have got married without them. I love them all to pieces.
Having so many bridesmaids was not without complications. Preparations started at 5am and each bridesmaid was allocated 30 minutes for hair and make-up. A gazebo was put up in Kirsty’s parents’ back garden in Belper to accommodate all the girls.
The bridesmaids were Kirsty’s sisters Tilly Paul, 21, and Hayley Paul, 18, and friends Zoe Gayle 25, Verity Wragg, 26, Amy Phillips, 25, Megan Beverley, 25, Samantha Kerr, 21, Emily Kerr, 18, Lucy Kerr, 15, and Jessica Wilson, 12.
Bridesmaid Samantha Kerr, said: “We had great fun dress shopping.
“We all loved our dresses. It was no mean feat finding something that we all liked.
“The wedding itself was very emotional day and none of us wanted it to be over. In fact it took some persuading to get us to leave at 1am – and we’d been up since 5am.”
Sam’s groomsmen on the couple’s big day were his dad Steve Beresford, Kirsty’s dad Adrian Paul, best man Mark Healey 29, and Shane Coxhead, 24, Kristian Swan, 21, Thomas Fox 25, Shane Linthwaite 25, Christian Watson 25, Daniel Kidd 26 and Danny Wragg, 29.
