A WOMAN from Belper has helped raise £4,000 for a stroke charity by climbing three daunting mountains.

Meg Stamp, 20, was the youngest of a 16-strong team from a Derby van centre that completed the Three Peaks Challenge in aid of the Stroke Association.

High winds, rain and even snow did not deter the group from Imperial Commercials Van and Truck Centre who scaled Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon – the three highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales – in 23 hours and 15 minutes.

Emma Bulgin, of Imperial Commercials, said: “We are very grateful to everyone’s kind donations and support.”
