Two Belper visitor attractions located side-by-side on the River Derwent teamed up to offer a joint day of activities for children.
On Bank Holiday Monday. Chucklebutties Play and Party Centre and Strutt’s North Mill offered a joint ticket for children to visit both sites – with accompanying adults free.
Included in the fun was access to Chucklebutties monster indoor play area cuddles from Crunchy Bear, games, story-telling, a hands-on artefacts session for children and craft activities.
Dozens of families from across Derbyshire turned-up to the event, which also saw families getting involved in weaving and following clues around the mill as part of a treasure hunt.
They were also able to find out about the process of cotton production from plant to thread at the mill, which is at the centre of the Derwent Valley World Heritage Site.
