THE popular Crich Tramway Village featured in a TV documentary on Monday.
The museum was contacted by the producers of The Golden Age of Trams earlier on in the year about making a programme about the tramway systems in the UK.
Curator Glynn Wilton said “After countless phone calls to the museum from TV production companies doing programmes about transport and just including a small part about trams, we finally persuaded a company that there was enough material to do a whole programme about trams. Tramways often get neglected for rail. People forget that trams were in operation for more than 100 years and served many of our towns and cities.”
