Derbyshire is bracing for 70mph gusts with the Met Office escalating its yellow wind warning to ‘amber’ as Storm Francis approaches the county.
The weather warning for ‘very strong winds’ across the East Midlands launches at 2pm today (Tuesday, August 25) and will remain in place until 10pm.
