A TRAIN strike which was set to affect services through Belper was called-off at the last minute.
Drivers belonging to the Aslef union had threated to walkout on June 23 and 25 in a row over pensions.
The industrial action would have represented the ninth and tenth days of strikes by members in the past two months.
However, they cancelled the strike following “constructive talks” on Tuesday, June 19.
David Horne, Managing Director for East Midlands Trains, said: “This is a positive and welcome step by Aslef.”
