Tributes paid to young man who died in Chesterfield crash

Ross Beardsley, who was also known as ‘Batman’, died in a crash on Malvern Road in the Brockwell area of the town at around 4.30pm on Tuesday.
The 32-year-old, of Newbold, suffered serious injuries and sadly died at the scene.

Hide AdFlowers have been left on Malvern Road and people have been paying tribute to Ross.
Commenting on our Facebook page on Thursday, Leeann Lakin said she has ‘amazing memories’ of him and added: “Rest in paradise buddy, will have a drink for your birthday tomorrow.”
Georgina Dobson described Ross as ‘such a good man’.
Samantha Broadbent said: “Such a lovely lad. RIP Ross.”
John Allen posted: “God bless him. It’s unbelievable how these tragic things can happen.”
Julie Layton added: “Tragic, what a waste of a young life.”
Many other people offered their condolences to Ross’s family and friends at this sad time.

Hide AdFollowing the incident, a woman was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
She has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
On Wednesday, police said the incident involved a car which did not stop.
A Derbyshire Constabulary spokesperson said: “Officers are continuing to make enquiries and they would still like to hear from anyone who hasn’t yet come forward who may have witnessed the collision, or with any dashcam footage from the area around that time.
