THREE staff members from a bank in Belper have cycled 16 miles to raise money for charity.
Chris Huckerby, Diane Dove and Clare Wilson took to their saddles to ride from the Britannia/Co-operative Bank branch in Belper to the one in Derby and back again.
It was all for the bank’s charity of the year, Mencap. The bank has so far raised almost £600 from different events since March.
As an added bit of fun, customers were invited to guess how long it would take the cyclists. The closest won a cut and blow dry and a shoulder and back massage at Allamoda hair and beauty salon in Belper.
Susan Carter, of Belper, was the lucky winner with her guess of one hour 45 minutes. The trio took anhour 46 minutes.
Lisa Williams, general adviser at the bank, said: “ I am very proud of the three cyclists.”
