Farmer Adam Henson will be officially opening the new Farm Shop at the Denby Pottery Village.

Adam has been a presenter on Sunday night’s Countryfile since 2001, with his regular feature, ‘Adams Farm’s.

Adam said: “Working as a farmer and TV presenter is exciting and rewarding, particularly as the public are now much more engaged with the countryside and are interested to know where their food comes from. Britain produces the best food in the world and farm shops offer everyone the opportunity to enjoy great quality produce whilst supporting British farmers and producers.”

“Britain also has some great British manufacturing traditions such as Denby Pottery and being invited to Denby brings all my interests together. I have a strong affection for Derbyshire and I have fond memories of the county having completed a year’s work experience at the Chatsworth Estate. As a child I loved pottery and even considered potting as a career so it’s quite special to me to be opening the Denby Pottery Village Farm Shop”.

Gary Capell, retail director for Denby said: “Adam was the natural choice to open our Farm Shop at the Denby Pottery Village. He’s a great ambassador for keeping things local and supporting British farmers which is exactly what we are promoting with the new Denby Farm Shop.

Adam Henson will be opening the Denby Farm Shop on Friday April 1 at 11am. Adam will also be signing copies of his books which will be available to purchase on the day.
