AN ASPIRING singer who is battling a life-threatening condition has recorded a single with pop-punk band Twenty Twenty, which has been released online.
Indi Shaw is a huge fan of the band and when Round Table Children’s Wish granted her a day in a recording studio with them, she left quite an impression.
The 13-year-old Highfields School pupil impressed the band so much they recorded a special version of their hit single Get Down with her.
Lead singer Sam Halliday said: “It was an absolute pleasure having Indi in the studio with us.
“Not only is she a lovely girl, but she really impressed us with her singing. We hope she keeps it up as she has a great voice.”
Indi was born with a condition which causes her problems with her chest and lungs. She’s endured challenging health and hospital admissions but strives to live a normal teenage life.
She said: “Having the chance to sing with Twenty Twenty was a dream come true.
“I’d been going through a difficult time shortly before my wish and it really cheered me up. Get Down is my favourite song. I was nervous at first but the boys were really nice and we had a fun day.”
