Twistin’ Tots move musically into summer fun

A BELPER-based music and movement class for young children is hosting free musical picnic in the park events.

Twistin’ Tots is holding the 45-minute song sessions in Little Eaton Park, on Vicarage Lane, on Friday, August 12, and Crossley Park, Ripley, on Wednesday, August 17.

Both events start at 11am.

It will be followed by a picnic, chat and play in the park. Families should bring their own picnic and rug.

Although the event is free, Jacqui Davis, Twistin’ Tots’ founder is hoping to raise money for the Amber Valley Branch of the NCT and Turnditch Primary School, so there will be a donation pot at each event.

Jacqui said: “I know most toddler groups and classes stop over the summer, so mums with under-fives suddenly find their routine goes out of the window.

“I decided to run some summer sessions to enable mums to have a meet up and a chat while offering their children a fun day out.

“At the same time, I can try and raise some cash for two very worthy causes, so everyone wins!”
