Two injured after smash in Duffield

Two people were injured when a car collided with a wall outside the Bridge Inn pub, Duffield.

Police officers, paramedics and firefighters spent more than an hour dealing with the accident, which involved a Ford Fiesta, in Duffield Bank.

The 22-year-old passenger had to be cut free from the car and was treated for “non life-changing injuries” at the Derby Royal. A 26-year-old reported to a police station the following morning to state he had been the driver.

The cause of the crash, at about 11.55pm on Friday, October 8 is being investigated.
