Derbyshire Police has said the car which crashed in Belper Market Place collided with the pedestrian traffic lights.
Fire crews from Ripley, Belper and Duffield were called to a car collision on Belper Market Place on Saturday, July 16.
A spokesperson for Derbyshire Police said: “A silver Ford Zetec crashed into the market place lights.
“One female driver was rescued by the fire service and police stayed on the scene until recovery had taken place.
“The driver was taken to hospital to be examined and there was no other casualties.”
