VILLAGERS in Hulland Ward pulled out all the stops to make their annual flower festival and horticultural and craft show a huge success.
The double event is organised by Christ Church in the village, said Norman Greville, the church warden.
The event was well attended, with Hulland Ward boasting some keen gardeners vying for honours in the horticultural sections. It raised £3,800 for the church.
Most of the village is involved in including showing produce and entering pictures in a photo competition, including children, who also enter.
The winner of the adult cup for amassing the most points went to retired GP Dr Paul Gage and the Children’s Cup went to Jessica Liddle, 13, whose points tally included from her efforts in handicraft.
