tHE possible extension of a conservation area is the topic of a public consultation.
The Peak District National Park Authority is looking in detail at what makes Alport special and it proposes two potential extensions to the conservation area.
The first would include the former Alport Lead Smelt Mill and the second would take in three early 19th century cottages and a converted barn along Lawns Lane.
The proposed boundary extensions can be viewed as part of a public consultation until tomorrow and can be seen at the authority’s headquarters at Aldern House, Baslow Road, Bakewell, or visiting www.peakdistrict.gov.uk/living-in/ca/caa/alport-conservation-area-appraisal.
