Volunteer at careers fair

Young people with UCAS applications or CVs on their minds are urged to volunteer at Derbyshire’s biggest careers event.

Derbyshire County Council is looking for enthusiastic and confident 16 to 19 year olds to act as guides at Derbyshire Skills Festival, which takes place at three venues this month.

The volunteers will wear a branded t-shirt, help people who are lost, direct people to the many stands and get a genuine volunteering opportunity that will boost their CV or UCAS application.

All of the events start at 3.30pm and finish at around 8pm. Volunteers will be expected to arrive at 2pm for a briefing and can choose from the selection of locations and dates: Pride Park, Derby, on Wednesday September 18 and Thursday 19; University of Derby at Buxton on Tuesday, September 24; Proact Stadium, Chesterfield on Wednesday, September 25.
