A call has gone out for volunteers who can help ensure the Belper Games runs smoothly.
The charity event, which sees a myriad of weird and wonderful sports played at Belper Rugby Club, takes place on Saturday,people July 21 this year.
Organised in memory of Belper woman Penny Wheeler, who lost her fight with two rare diseases in December, funds will be donated to two charities that support sufferers of scleroderma and pulmonary fibrosis. as well as Ataxia UK - which helps people who have problems with movement, balance and speech.
Organiser, Nick Wheeler, said: “We’re looking for people to help out with a range of tasks on the day from directing people to the event and manning the gates to helping set the event up and making sure stallholders are happy.”
