The county is braced for several hours of snowfall after the Met Office issued a ‘yellow’ level warning for snow and ice which will run until 9pm this evening (Thursday, January 14).

During lockdown most schools still remain open for children of keyworkers along with vulnerable children, but are being forced to shut altogether due to the wintry weather.
