it has been nothing but wedded bliss for a Belper business that is booming despite the recession.
Leanne Whysall, 29, admitted setting up her wedding dress firm Stately Brides in May, 2009, was one of the “scariest” things she has done, given the UK’s economic downturn.
But, as the shop, which is on Hayfield Close, approaches its second birthday, things are definitely still in the honeymoon period.
The attractive, welcoming boutique is the perfect place for a would-be bride to choose her dream dress, and Leanne’s one-to-one service adds a comforting touch.
She said: “Setting up here on my own was a big thing and it could have gone either way. But it has gone absolutely brilliantly.”
The shop, which stocks a stunning range of wedding gowns, including ones by Hollywood Dreams and Victoria Jane, attracts customers from as far away as Scotland and Dorset.
