Women's state pension rights battle

They had just successfully lobbied north east Derbyshire County Council to pass a motion which calls upon the Government to reconsider its position over women born between 1951 and 1955 who will lose years of pension entitlement due to changes which they were not told about.
Women’s pension age was changed in 1995 and in 2011 to 65 and 66 respectively. But many of the affected women were not told and failed to make provision.
