There is just one week left to book a place for this year’s Derbyshire Sport Coaches’ Conference.
Organised by Derbyshire Sport and supported by Derby College, the conference will be held on May 18, and will provide an opportunity for coaches in Derbyshire to meet and learn from each other and to engage with other highly respected coaches.
The guest speaker will be former Bath and England Rugby Union international Nigel Redman, now Elite Coach Development Manager for British Swimming.
The conference, at Derby College in Derby, is aimed at coaches who work with, or who would like to work with, talented athletes, or who have an interest in sports science and athlete development. The cost for Derbyshire coaches is £50, . Booking closes on May 6.

A range of 12 different workshops will also be on offer, giving coaches the opportunity to learn from world class experts in their fields covering subjects such as nutrition, strength and conditioning, and psychology, as well as effectively coaching teenage athletes and examining the relationship of sleep and athletic performance. The conference programme also includes sports specific master classes on swimming and netball.
