A steady fall of wickets on the opening day of the Derbyshire Premier saw Denby post a catchable target against Rolleston, which the visitors to Copper Yard reached with minimal fuss.
Denby captain Daniel Burgoyne top scored (30) for his side, followed by Liam Glenn (21) and Mark Payne (20) with Matthew Parry the only other player to reach double figures (17) as the hosts were all out for 136 in the 47th over.
Alex Britton was the pick of the bowling figures with 4-15 from five overs, which included two maidens. Alex Brown (3-26 from 12 overs) and Graham Dent (2-32 from 12.5) led the attack and set the tone early on for ruthless Rolleston.
The total was always going to be tough to defend but Harry Wanford gave Denby hope when he had Richard Green out for 15, caught by Billy Askey, at 32-1. That window of opportunity was firmly closed though by Callum Brodrick and Gareth Marshall,
Captain Marshall opened and was the consistent figure with 35 from 73 balls before Peter Burgoyne had him, caught by Steven Payne. Muhammad Zaroob (29*) and Brodrick (49*) saw Rolleston to an eight-wicket victory.
