Codnor CC 1sts and Swanwick Hall 1sts met on Saturday in Division 4N of the Derbyshire County Cricket League.
Codnor won the toss and elected to bat first.
Codnor were dismissed by their opponents for 145 in 43.4 overs.
Opener Jonathan Woolley was by far the top scorer for Codnor with a knock of 56.
He was the seventh man out when the score had reached 111.
But there was not too much in the way of support for him, apart from Timmy Leo with 22 and, after Woolley’s departure, Adam Soar with 20.
For Swanwick Hall, the bowlers turned in a disciplined display, led by Rich Leam with 3-35 and Ryan Parsons with 3-37.
Steven Mee and James Green also took two wickets each.
Swanwick Hall’s innings also featured a key contribution from an opening batsman as Steven Wilson led the way with 64.
Codnor were always in with a chance and took a number of wickets along the way but Swanwick Hall eventually got home by three wickets in the 44th over.
Neil Sparham was the main wicket taker for Codnor, taking 4-30 in 14 tight overs.
