This was the return of last week’s fixture, which saw Belper Town Girls u14s beat Ashbourne Aztecs 4-3.

But this time around, they suffered a 2-0 defeat in a close fought game.

Unfortunately a neatly tucked away goal by Anna McKay, from an excellent through ball by Molly Talbot, was chalked off for a tight offside decision.

Chances were limited for both sides but the deadlock was broken late in the first half by an unstoppable 25-yard shot from the Ashbourne number 10.

Belper started the second half brighter but Ashbourne sealed the game late in the second half with a neat shot from the edge of the box after Belper had failed several times to clear the ball.

Late in the game, a rasping 25-yard volley from Chloe Cresswell drew a save which was almost followed in by Anna McKay.
