Punjab United Reserves 0

AMBERGATE continued their late charge towards the top three in the table as they strolled to victory over Punjab United Reserves.

The Derby-based visitors turned up only ten minutes before kick-off and never got started.

A brace from Andrew Stevenson early on set the tone for ‘gate and the game was then effectively over before half-time as Stevenson grabbed his hat-trick.

The second half continued in the same vein with Ambergate dominant and it was all too easy as chances kept coming.

Shane Linthwaite helped himself to a brace of goals and in between them, Tom Aston netted and Stevenson got his fourth of the game.

The icing on the ca,e came late on as substitute Danny Keen scored his first of the season, coolly slotting home.

With four games to go, Ambergate now lie fourth and play second-placed Mackworth at home this Saturday (March 24).

Kick-off is 3pm at the Thomas William recreation ground in Heage.
