Belper Town goalkeeper Aaron Chapman has signed for League Two side Chesterfield.

The 22-year-old, six foot six inch keeper was one of the key reasons behind Belper’s superb run of form in the second half of the season that took them to the Evo-Stik Division One South play-offs.

He joined the Nailers from Goole in February 2012 and has now signed a one-year deal with the Spireites.

Chapman, who also previously played for Parkgate, turned in a series of commanding diplays during the recently-completed season for the Nailers and has been brought in to provide competition for Chesterfield’s number one goalkeeper Tommy Lee.
