First Division South
New Mills 1
Belper Town 4
BELPER Town extended their unbeaten run in the league to ten games with a 4-1 win at New Mills on Monday night.
Ashley Longstaff put the Nailers in front on 14 minutes but Michael Bowler equalised for the hosts just three minutes later.
Longstaff’s second of the game on 50 minutes regained the lead for Peter Duffield’s side before in-form marksman Jon Froggatt added two more to his season’s tally with strikes on 69 and 73 minutes, the latter from the penalty spot.
The win, a ninth from the last ten games, saw Belper Town leapfrog New Mills to go seventh in the table, just two points outside the play-offs.
Belper are back in action on Saturday (March 31) when they travel to face 12th-placed Coalville Town (3pm).
