Belper United manager Paul Postlethwaite has boosted his high-flying squad with two new signings.
Alfie Holland and Tristran Spencer have both signed on the dotted line.
Alfie Holland is a former Rocester, Mickleover Sports and Belper Town player. The left-sided youngster, who was a product of the excellent Belper Town Community Programme, will join other successes at United from the scheme which includes, amongst others, Sam Vickers, Tom Curtis, Ryan Wheatcroft, Matt Wright and Mark Rathbone.
Alfie commented: “I trained with Belper Unietd last year, and was very impressed with the set-up. Growing up, I played a big part for Belper Town juniors and the reserves, helping the under 18s win the cup and league double.
“Last season, I started my pre-season with Belper Town first team before Mickleover Sports offered me the chance of a starting role, but this season I’ve decided to come back because I want to start enjoying my football again and its nice to feel wanted. So I look forward to playing and performing for Belper United.”
A tough tackling box-to-box centre midfield player with an eye for goal, Tristan Spencer was another who stood out earlier in the season, this time for Calverton MW.
Tristan (27), also formerly of Hucknall Town, Ellistown and Greenwood Meadows, will join the squad in a couple of weeks as he needs to shake off an injury.
