The Sun reports that Vydra is free to leave Pride Park following the Rams’ capture of Jack Marriott from Peterborough United.

Vydra’s move looked to have stalled yesterday due to the striker’s wage demands, with Leeds looking at alternative options.

Ex-Derby loanee Patrick Bamford, who had attracted interest from Nottingham Forest earlier in the summer, was said to be in line.

But Vydra - last season’s Championship Golden Boot winner with 22 goals in total - now looks set to leave Derby for Leeds.

The 26-year-old was reportedly even pictured in Leeds city centre last night (27th July), so say the Yorkshire Evening Post.

Leeds United are yet to comment further.

While Rams boss Frank Lampard is still interested in bolstering his attack by signing Martyn Waghorn from Ipswich Town.
