Duffield looking to push on

Benz-Bavarian Duffield begin the second half of the Premier Squash League season on Tuesday, January 7.

They will be looking to continue a promising first half of the campaign. They are currently top of Group A in the Premier Squash League, with only one defeat from their games so far.

Their latest match will be away to AJP Pontefract.

Among the members of Benz-Bavarian Duffield’s squad is Nick Matthew, who will be looking to build on a great year in 2013.

This saw him win his third World Title in four years. The Sheffield-based player survived a dramatic AJ Bell PSA World Squash Championship final.

He beat Gregory Gauthier in the final. His efforts brought a move from Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg - his constituency MP - to have him included on the shortlist for the BBC Sports Personality of the Year 2013 - and he also released his autobiography Sweating Blood: My Life In Squash, signing copies of it at Duffield Squash and Racketball Club for fans.
