Football teams looking to get back into action

A number of our local football leagues will be looking to return to action this weekend, weather permitting, after the Christmas and New Year period.

In the Midlands Regional Alliance Premier Division on Saturday, Swanwick Pentrich Road host Sandiacre Town.

As for Swanwick Pentrich Road Reserves, they are at Allenton United Reserves in Division One while Bargate Rovers Reserves entertain Mackworth St Francis Reserves in Division Two.

In Division One, Ripley Town host Mickleover RBL Reserves and, in the same division, Bargate Rovers are at Mackworth St Francis.

In Division, Ambergate FC are next in action at Pastures Reserves on January 12.

Meanwhile, in the Alfreton Insurance Services Sunday League, fixtures for Sunday, January 6, will include:

Alfreton Miners Arms v Marlpool Utd, Amber Athletic v Coronation Club, Codnor Miners Arms v Hayloft, Heanor Staff Reserves v Gladiators FC, Jacksdale MW v Crib, Jacksdale Social Club v Alliance Healthcare , Railway (Pinxton) v Blackwell MW, Selston Bull & Butcher v Bulls Head and Swanwick Villa v Duffield Dynamos.
