Having made the play-offs last season, the Spireites are one of the favourites for promotion again.
James Rowe has made several new signings, and many of them are expected to start at The EBB Stadium.
Saturday will be the first time Chesterfield fans have been allowed into an away ground for a league game since March 2020.
Here's how our reporter Liam Norcliffe thinks the Blues could line-up this weekend...
1. Scott Loach - GK
The experienced stopper was Chesterfield's first signing in the summer. Photo: Tina Jenner
2. Jamie Grimes - RCB
The centre-back has had an impressive pre-season since joining on a free transfer from Hereford. He has played all across the back three during the friendlies and, despite him being left-footed, I think he may start on the right of a three-man defence. Aldershot are likely to be strong from set-pieces so I think they will need his dominance in the air. Photo: jason chadwick
3. Gavin Gunning - CB
Gunning missed the Grimsby match with a knock but I am sure it was more a precaution than anything else. He will not have been risked with the Aldershot game in mind. He was immense last season and his leadership skills are vital to this team. Photo: jason chadwick
4. Laurence Maguire - LCB
Maguire was back in the side against Grimsby after missing the Tamworth clash. He is a big part of how Chesterfield play out from the back and he will be aiming to build on his fine form from last season. Photo: Rachel Atkins
