Belper made the trip to Alvaston Park to take on Pride Park for the third time this season.
In the end, the difference between the two sides was three penalties.
Belper started the brighter of the two teams, but were unable to make the early possession count for anything.
Pride Park capitalised to take the lead when a striker ran on to a defence-splitting pass and placed the ball high into the net.
Just after the half-hour mark Pride Park doubled their lead with another quick attack, before it was 3-0 via a well-taken penalty.
As half-time approached Belper managed to pull a goal back when Jemma took on a defender before netting.
A positive team-talk at the break gave Belper the confidence to go out and take the game to Pride Park, but unfortunately the hosts came straight out and notched a fourth.
From the re-start Belper looked the better side moving the ball well in midfield and creating openings up-front.
H controlled well from a free-kick before knocking in Belper’s second goal.
Within five minutes, the visitors pulled scores back to 4-3 when Jemma slotted home her second of the game.
The Referee then awarded a penalty to Pride Park following a tangle on the edge of the box, which Gilbo saved.
Gilbo again saved at full stretch from a 20-yard effort, before Pride Park were awarded a third penalty after another tussle on the edge of the box.
This time the Pride Park player converted, and in the process secured the win for the hosts.
