Former Belper Ladies Hockey Club star and England Under-21 international, Alice Sharp has been presented with her Young Player of the Year Award.
She received it from the International Hockey Federation President, Leandro Negre, at the Hockey Writers’ of Great Britain Awards Lunch in London last week.
It is the second time that Alice has won the award, the first being in 2008 and she is the only person to achieve this in the history of the award.
She played in Belper’s first team in the National League for three years, starting out at the young age of 15, and winning a host of titles and medals.
Alice left the Belper club last year to study Economics at Birmingham University.
