Three members of Belper Taekwondo Academy returned home with prized medals from one of the most prestigious events on the sport’s calendar.

Instructor Kerry Wilson and students Ben Langton and James Pedley covered themselves in glory at the Spring National Championships run by the UK International Taekwondo Federation at Exeter.

Wilson bagged two gold medals for patterns and destruction, while Langton (1st degree) won two silvers in sparring and patterns and Pedley (2nd degree) also pocketed a couple of silvers for sparring and destruction. Wilson and Pedley have now been chosen to represent England at the World Championships to be held at Brighton in July. The academy stages classes every Thursday for students all ages and abilities.
