Smalley’s Leon Haslam is 10th in the British Superbike Championships after a poor round at Magny Cours.

Haslam failed to finish Race One, before finishing 11th in the Superpole Race and 13th in Race Two leaving him with 91 points in the standings.

morning, mainly with corner entry, and then in the afternoon race we struggled with some set-up issues.

“As the race went on, and as the track continued to dry, everyone else picked up the pace while I got increasingly slower. It’s a real pity as I hoped we could have battled for the top five again, but in the end today was not the day.

“We’ve got the final round to go in a couple of weeks in Portugal so hopefully that can bring us a positive end to the season that the team’s efforts deserve.”

Haslam is next in action at Estoril on the weekend of 16 to 18th October.
