The Matlock Storytelling Cafe plays host to a performance on Friday, March 7 called Seven Sisters - Tales from Ireland.
A father stands in a darkened doorway. Seven sisters lie in their beds and listen.
Roaring seas lap the bed steads, mountains become Queens, seas part for galloping horses.
This show is a celebration of wild imagination and how even in the humblest of homes that imagination can soar...
Seven Sisters - Tales From Ireland features the consummate performer Maria Whatton. Maria’s storytelling performances have been highly praised for their lucidity, warmth and captivating style. She knows hundreds of traditional stories and lights up the room with her intelligence and passion.
