Kunst Gallery Belper hosts an Art By Johnny exhibition opening event called Night Of The Poets on Saturday, April 21.

The venue is the Old Nail Shed, Campbell Street, Belper.

Hosted by We are Kunst, performers on the night will include Henry Normal, Pete Ramskill and Andrew Graves.

A comedian, television producer and poet, Henry Normal’s credits include The Royle Family with Caroline Aherne and The Parole Officer with Steve Coogan. Henry has been concentrating on poetry recently and a host of books have been published exhibiting his craft.

Pete Ramskill’s real passion has always been painting but in 1984 he put a collection of poems together called Strike. Part of it was a sequence of poems based on conversations with striking miners and miners’ wives involved in the fight to preserve their jobs and communities.

Andrew Graves has been featured on 6 Music’s Cerys Mathews show and BBC Four’s recent documentary Evidently John Cooper Clarke. He can often be seen performing on stages up and down the UK. His latest collection, Light At The End Of The Tenner, has just been released.

Entry is £5 and the bar opens from 7pm.
