Youlgrave Bangbutt Village Link Charity is holiday a barn dance at the village hall on Saturday, October 10.
Dancing is to Ian Carter and people are urged to bring their own food and drink.
Proceeds will go to the Freedom of Fistula Foundation which runs a hospital in Sierra Leone offering free fistula repair surgeries and rehabilitation.
An estimated two million women in Africa suffer from obstetric fistula, a condition caused during childbirth when the birth becomes obstructed. When this happens labour can last for days and usually results in stillbirth. The damage caused to the bladder and /or bowel can lead to double incontinence and result in the women affected being ostracised by their communities.
Tickets for the barn dance cost £8 for adults and £5for under 16s, available from Holland`s Butchers in the village or by phoning 01629 6366580.
